We are excited that you are wanting to find out more about following Christ in believer’s baptism! There is only one requirement for baptism and that is a belief in Christ for your salvation. Water baptism (a symbol of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection) is an act of faith and obedience to the command of Christ. It’s an outward symbol of your commitment to Christ letting others know that you are not ashamed of belonging to Him! It helps with keeping us, each, accountable for our walk with Christ.

Pastor Steve would love to baptize you; however, the Great Commission is a process that involves His followers both teaching obedience and baptizing. Because of this, we allow baptisms to be carried out by any of its adult members. This means that your parent(s), mentor, small group leader, spouse, etc. can baptize you if they are a born again and baptized believer and member in good standing of Refuge Church and they led you to the Lord or was instrumental in you coming to Jesus. Our preference is that no on else joins you as there is limited room in the baptistry and dressing areas.
